HEART CRY. OUR SOCIETY HAS TURNED TO THE WRONG DIRECTION. PART 2

2. Travelling is a lifestyle.

Pardon me my high-flown language but a human being can find self-realization in creativity, rather than in an idle entertainment and this is the way the world works.

In simple terms, we were created to create. We can be happy only when creating. We can enjoy ourselves under the palm tree for a couple of days or a week, but not for the entire lifetime.

To organize a journey is incredibly difficult.

Traveling as a tourist is easy. But do not to mix up travelling and life.

If you want to get distracted, I know how to do it - work for a year, show the result, that will astonish you and your boss, take a vacation maybe a week or two longer than normal, turn off the phone and messengers and go to the bespoken Asia, if you want to go there so much. Get power, impressions, energy, ideas and go back to work. Create value.

If you want to do it in different way - you want to live and work while traveling, start with a small test drive. Follow all that was described in the previous paragraph. Just instead of vacation, take a small, but responsible project for this month and a half. Be sure to describe its result in the maximum measurable values before starting to work.

And go ahead.

You will quickly find out that working and traveling at the same time is much more difficult than working in the office, and it is certainly not as pleasant as you imagined it to yourself.

You will come across a time difference (with Thailand for example, there are 5-6 hours of difference). People will text and call you on urgent issues when it is already midnight at your place.

You will face the fact that the next morning after a night flight you feel the necessity to sleep, but work does not wait.

You will find out that working outdoors heat reaches + 35 degrees is not so much fun. What is really the point of getting away for many thousands of kilometers just to end up sitting in cafe or hotel for 8 consecutive hours?

You will struggle with the Internet that is constantly breaking and Thais / Khmer / Indians / Vietnamese (choose the nationality yourself) – always smiling, but never even trying to fix this problem.

And most importantly – during the sightseeing you will be drilled with thoughts about work, and while you work, you will ask yourself – so why did I come here? Have not I come here to admire the sunset on Jimbaran, or just but to work and sweat, as I used to do before?

Make an experiment before you burn all the bridges.

Maybe you will realize that life and traveling are not the same things.
